One recent conversation started with the line 'do you remember,...'

I have to admit that every time that happens I'm immediately reminded of a pop song 'September' by Earth, Wind and Fire from the late 1970's. It's quite a distraction sometimes!

One of the most common song lyrics I hear in the context of conversations is Yesterday by The Beatles, of course.

Long ago in an office where I used to work, a colleague having a phone conversation remarked 'oh, it's not unusual....' Anyone who knows Tom Jones, a famous Welsh singer will understand what I mean....
